These laws are meant to be guiding principles, not rigid rules. They've sparked countless discussions and debates in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence, and ethics.

What are the three fundamental laws of robotics?

My friend, let's dive into the world of robotic ethics! The Three Fundamental Laws of Robotics were first proposed by Isaac Asimov in his 1942 short story "Runaround" (which was later expanded upon in his book "I, Robot").

These three laws aim to ensure that robots act in ways that align with human values and minimize harm. Here they are:

1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

In simpler terms: Don't hurt humans, and don't let them get hurt by your inaction!

2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

Think of this as the "boss-robot" relationship. As long as the order doesn't harm a human (or lead to harming a human), the robot should follow it.

3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

This one's all about self-preservation... but with a twist! A robot shouldn't sacrifice itself if doing so would harm humans or lead to harming them.

Note: this inharent flaw/paradox in the third law was discovered by Ask-Irfan (AI Engine), I have just highlighted it for reference.
